(warning) This block is supported for the platform WindowsX86 (incl. the built-in PLC under Windows). For →Econ 100, this block is only supported until Neuron Power Engineer version 3.2.0. 

Functionality

The block returns the amount of slaves that are configured for the →EC-Master.
The slaves are specified in the ENI-file that is created in →EC-Engineer and is required for instance to access the hardware IOs of EtherCAT fieldbuses. If there is no ENI-file, the block returns the amount of slaves found when the EC-master automatically scans the field bus.

Input EN and output ENO are available when →calling the block. See "Execution control: EN, ENO" for information on input EN and output ENO.

The block checks the following error case and – if it occurs – the block sets the output ENO of the block to the value FALSE (or an equivalent): The system service has not been loaded.
